Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) collaboration with SIAL International Food Fair.

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Mission in France, is organizing the Sri Lanka Pavilion at the SIAL International Food Fair, to be held from 19th to 23rd October 2024 in Paris, France. Sri Lankan export companies to showcase their products to the EU region network with the majority of the stakeholders in the industry, capture new market opportunities, promote Sri Lankan brands, build up high-quality live contacts, obtain interactive experience.



There was a large area dedicated to national pavilions where the countries could be able to showcase their finest products of their producers in the agri-food industry and share their experiences. Exhibitors from worldwide countries in the industry and thousands of visitors were attracted to the SIAL Paris 2024 which could be able to discover latest innovations in grocery and preserved food, wine and spirits, beverages including tea and hot beverages, bakery and sweet products, wide range of gourmet and frozen products, meat and dairy products and as well as organic and wellness products. 

19 individual exporting entities in agriculture products such as coconut kernel, food & beverages, spices, tea, fruit & vegetable & food ingredients and 10 PGI-certified Cinnamon exporters will display their products under two Sri Lanka Pavilions which covers a total pavilion area of 184 sqm housed in Hall 4 H062 & Hall 8 G142.This year, the EDB has established a dedicated Cinnamon Promotional Corner to showcase PGI-Certified Ceylon Cinnamon for the EU market, with the support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Before the exhibition, Sri Lanka Embassy shared the contact details of potential importers for all sectors represented by Sri Lankan companies, enabling them to make business meetings with them. In addition to that, the Embassy invited all potential importers to visit Sri Lanka Pavilion and arranged some business to business meetings with potential importers at the pavilion.


The main objective of this program is to encourage domestic enterprises to invest in export industries to achieve the overall export target in 2024. Simultaneously new entrants have gained opportunities in the international marketing experience.
